With well almost two decades in the industry, Jim Iyke has seen it all, done it all, and owns his craft; and like a movie yet unscripted, Iyke’s evolution secret is akin to a manuscript waiting to be chaptered.
Jim Iyke studied at the University of Jos, Plateau State, where he got a diploma in Banking and Finance and then had a BSc in Philosophy.
However, he joined the Nigerian Film industry – Nollywood - in 2001, became famous with the movie ‘One Dollar,’ appeared in over 150 films, and has remained relevant in the industry to date.
In the last four years, he did about eleven films consecutively, with about seven of them being released and most of them on Netflix.
His first venture into production was in the movie Bad Comments where he was the executive producer and lead of the film.
Though entertainment has proven to be one of the most demanding industries to stay relevant, Jim Iyke purposefully sought paths to change the narrative. This feat he achieved by honing and exploring other skill sets as often as he could.
His love for acting, cars, houses, and looking good encouraged his other business ventures. He is currently the founder and CEO of Untamed Productions, Untamed Records, Untamed Cars, and Space Boutique. He also has real estate, event management, and Oil and gas business interests.
As a benevolent philanthropist, he founded the Jim lyke Foundation, catering to the education of children with special disabilities.
The veteran actor has won several local and international awards, including the Net Honours Most Searched Actors Award.
