Michael Uba

Micheal Uba, popularly known as James in the comedy series *Jenifa’s Diary*, is a multi-talented Nigerian actor, comedian, writer, and radio and television presenter. He is also known as Ogbolor on Wazobia FM. He is an all-round entertainer who can sing, dance, write, crack jokes, and speak eloquently. He started humbly as a teenage president in church, and later, the teenagers formed a youthful comedy group in church called D’ISAACS.

He was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Uba of Ogwashi Uku in Delta State, along with his twin sister. They were raised in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria. He completed his secondary education at Federal Government College, Ibillo, Edo State, and obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Lagos State University.

Speaking at SMFEST 2022 in response to the question, “How can an aspiring individual break even in the entertainment industry?” he replied:

“The problem I see with this current generation of entertainers is that they want to blow up, but they don’t want to work. Show up, forget about the glory later, and start the work first.”

Micheal Uba is an individual who has worked his way to the top and also encourages the younger generation to take the same steps.
